KARIPAIN

CREAM

"Karipain Cream" has proved to be an efficient remedy for the prophylaxis and treatment of affections of the entire locomotion apparatus. It is widely used by the physiotherapists and administered by ultrasound to many patients in home conditions for the treatment of vertebral column and articulations.

"Karipain Cream" may be considered as an independent topical procedure and as an addition to the medicinal phonophoresis (ultrasound).

"Karipain Cream" is used for the treatment and prophylaxis of affections of vertebral column and articulations, such as osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernias, disk radiculitis, osteoarthritis, osteoarthrosis, contractures of articulations.
"Karipain" eliminates the pain in the vertebral column and articulations, inhibits the inflammatory processes, contributes to the regeneration of intervertebral disks and cartilaginous tissues, improves the microcirculation in tissues.
"Karipain Cream" is also efficient for the treatment of old wounds and burns, elimination of keloid scars of various origins.

"Karipain Cream" has a balanced composition of active substances with ultrasound conductors and does not require any auxiliary substance when administered with ultrasound.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

"Karipain Cream" relieves the pain in vertebral column and articulations, stops the inflammatory processes, contributes to the regeneration of intervertebral disks and cartilaginous tissues, improves microcirculation in tissues.
The cream is also efficient for the treatment of old wounds and burns, elimination of keloid scars of various origins.

"Karipain Cream" contains hyaluronic acid which besides its own curative properties is a "transport" agent delivering the right doses of other active substances contained in "Karipain" to the affected parts of the body. This is why the use of "Karipain" even without special physiotherapeutic procedures is efficient in cases of regular application.

INDICATIONS FOR ADMINISTRATION

"Karipain Cream" is used for the treatment and prophylaxis of affections of vertebral column and articulations, such as osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernias, disk radiculitis, osteoarthritis, osteoarthrosis, contractures of articulations, etc. Also the cream is used for the treatment of keloid scars of various origins.

LOCAL APPLICATION

Massage with "Karipain Cream" is effected as follows: the required quantity of cream is squeezed out onto the problematic area. Further, the preparation is applied onto the problematic area with circular movements until complete absorption. "Karipain Cream" is highly demanded among the manual therapists and masseurs. "Karipain Cream" contains special components preventing it from quick absorption, thus providing comfort for the time of massage.

Course of treatment: 4 weeks
How to use: 2 -3 times a day in 2-3 grams per 10 square centimeters
Repeat course: after 1 month

PHONOPHORESIS

"Karipain Cream" has a balanced composition of active substances with ultrasound conductors and does not require any auxiliary substance when administered with ultrasound. In one procedure of phonophoresis it is allowed to treat no more than 2 body areas not exceeding 200 square centimeters each, the total duration of curative procedure shall not exceed 20 minutes. It is very important to assure a good contact between the irradiator and the patient’s body, as the air gap drastically reduces the efficiency of phonophoresis. In order to treat the affected compartment of vertebral column one shall move the irradiator along the vertebral column at the distance of 1,5-2 centimeters from the central axis (over the paravertebral lines). The ultrasound irradiator must be moved slowly using round and longitudinal movements (simultaneously) over the affected areas.

Course of treatment: 4 weeks
How to use: 1 time a day in doses of 6 ml per 100 square centimeters
Repeat course: after 1 month

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSES

"Karipain Cream" is used both independently and in combination with electrophoresis - Karipain bottles. "Karipain Cream" is efficient in ultrasound application. Course of treatment: 20-30 procedures.

In case of external application the cream is applied with massaging movements onto the corresponding portions of the body until complete absorption 2-3 times a day for 20-30 days. When treating contractures, keloid scars, articular affections the Karipain preparations shall be administered at the physician’s discretion.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Individual intolerance of ingredients. Acute inflammatory processes in tissues, disk sequestration and foramenal location of sequester.

Ingridients

Karipain Cream

Ingridients: Water, vaseline, dehymuls PGPH, light mineral oil, papain, glucosamine hydrochloride, hyaluronic acid, lameform TGI, glycerin, lanolin, microcare PM 5, triethanolamine, perfume composition.

Papain

Monothiolic cysteinic endoprotease also called papain is obtained from the milky juice of special sorts of papaya. When papain is introduced into a locus of a damaged vertebral or articulation cartilage the portions of tissues with dead cells are gradually eliminated. Therefore, favorable conditions are created for the recovery of bone and vascular tissues.

Papain has a favorable action on the affected areas of vertebral column. Owing to the unique properties of this substance the hernias are reduced in dimensions and become softer. Owing to these modifications the previously snatched vessels and nerves are released and the pain is reduced. Moreover, under the influence of papain the recovery of intervertebral disk tissues occurs much faster.

Hyaluronic acid

Almost all the tissues of human body contain hyaluronic acid, but with age it is synthesized in smaller and smaller quantities. First of all the deficit of this polysaccharide affects the skin tissues and articulations.

The hyaluronic acid contained in the gel prevents the destruction of cartilage, provides an ointment on its surfaces, improves the contents of intra-articular liquid, releases carbohydrate-protein elements from the fibers of cartilage tissues, at the same time reducing the sensitivity to pain.

Glucosamine

Glucosamin is an aminosaccharide obtained from the shells of crustaceans. This substance has a powerful chondroprotective and regenerative action on the cartilages of articulations, appearing as their most important natural metabolite. Glucosamin serves as construction material for the cartilage tissues, it protects the cartilages against metabolic destruction. It is strongly absorbed by the tissues and provides the initial material for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans necessary for the cartilaginous tissues.
